IANS has obtained a permanent observer status in Coordination Council Eurasia

IANS has obtained a permanent observer status in Coordination Council Eurasia The 36th joint meeting of Coordination Council (CC) and Coordination Group of Experts (CGE) Eurasia took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from 23 to 26 April 2019.  More than 50 representatives attended the meeting.

BANS Took Part in HeliRussia 2018

From May 24 to May 26, 2018, the XI International helicopter industry exhibition HeliRussia 2018 was held at Crocus Expo, Moscow, where BANS exhibited its prototype of the helicopter onboard situational awareness system for helicopter crews (BSSO-B) for the first time.

IANS participated in the 3rd International Forum on Civil Aviation Safety that took place in Beijing, China, from May 22nd to 23rd,2018. Over 150 delegates from 7 international organizations and associations, 4 government agencies, 50 air carriers and research institutes from 11 countries and regions attended the forum hosted by the China Air Transport Association (CATA) and supported by the China Civil Airports Association (CCAA).

This forum was themed “promoting the application of new navigation technologies to improve operation safety and efficiency”. Through keynote speeches, thematic speeches and interactive exchanges, participants exchanged views on new navigation and ATM technologies such as wake turbulence recategorization (RECAT), independent operation of multiple runways and airport collaborative decision-making, and probed into the means and ways through which new navigation technologies could be used to effectively improve the airspace capacity and flight regularity while ensuring safety.

During the Forum, IANS representative, Mr. Boris Reznik, delivered a report named "Wake Vortex Monitoring System" on the newly developed LIDAR-based ATM tool intended to support deployment of optimized wake procedures. The tool utilizes LIDAR measurements to reconstruct both wind and vortex data, thus enabling real-time air traffic controller advisories and wake situation prediction. It is essential for the ATCOs to maintain situational awareness under stringent conditions of reduced wake separations.

Mr. Reznik also participated in the subsequent panel discussion where the experts addressed the question on the application of RECAT and other new navigation technologies in various countries, including Russia, which will certainly contribute positively to improving the safety level and operation efficiency of international civil aviation.
