Irkut Corporation, International Aeronavigation Systems Concern and TSAGI will develop the airborne wake vortex flight safety system for the aircraft MC-21

Within the airshow MAKS-2013 the President of Irkut Corporation, JSC Oleg Demchenko, the President of International Aeronavigation Systems Concern, JSC Mihail Kizilov and the Executive Director of TSAGI Sergei Chernyshev have signed a three party agreement. According to this agreement the medium-haul aircraft MC-21 should be provided by the airborne wake vortex flight safety system.

This system will ensure the realization of the advanced ICAO requirements related to wake vortex separation minimum (RHSM-RECAT-2).

MC-21 will be the first production aircraft in the world which will contain the wake vortex flight safety system implemented during the design phase.

International Aeronavigation Systems Concern, JSC with the assistance of TSAGI develops the system’s functional software. This software should be implemented in MC-21 surveillance system.

Appropriate realization of ICAO requirements related to the installation of the airborne wake vortex flight safety system will allow to increase the competitive advantages of MC-21.
